Utrecht

Utrecht is one of the most attractive places to live in the heart of the Netherlands, this relaxed university town attracts both expats and international companies, leading to high living standards and an educated workforce. With unusual sunken canals and cellar bars this picturesque city provides a mix of urban vibe and small-town charm.

With a long cultural history in Utrecht, it’s no surprise that the city has nine museums located in and around the area. Additionally, there are two theatres and various music and art festivals throughout the year. There is also a large range of sports facilities on offer to cater for the growing number of professionals living in this city.

Although (like most Dutch cities) there is a strong cycling culture, transport links are excellent, making Utrecht an ideal transport hub for the rest of the country. The city is well served with road systems, connecting with all major destinations and with its own station, Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport are just 25-30 minutes away.

Utrecht has one international school in the city. The International School Utrecht (ages 3-18) provides a high quality and accessible international learning environment to children from diverse international backgrounds and follows the International Baccalaureate programme.
